Was born on September 13, in 1975, in Yerevan. He studied at two musical schools, where he learnt to play the piano and folk wind  instruments. He entered the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas,the Department of Folk Musical Instruments in 1992 and graduated from it in 1997.
In the period 1992- 2010 he worked as a soloist in the “Tkzar” State ensemble. He has been working as a soloist in the “Shoghakn” Folk ensemble since 2000. Since 2011 he has been working as a soloist and head conductor in the Folk Musical Instrument Orchestra of the Armenian State Philharmonic. He has more than 20 recordings in the Archives of National Radio. In 2009 he gave a lecture and had a concert with Tevanyan Quartet at the University of Dorpat (the University of Tartu). In the period 2011-2012 he had solo concerts in 12 cities of Italy.
He played on the soundtracks of different movies: “Ararat” by Atom Egoyan, an Iranian movie “Miss Maria”, “Quick March” by Arman Chilingaryan.
He masters all Armenian woodwind instruments (blul, shvi , tav shvi, duduk, pku, parkapzuk , zurna) and the piano . In Yerevan he had solo piano concerts performing Armenian compositions with jazz improvisation. He studied the art of jazz with the composer Professor Tsovak Hambardzumyan.  He had concerts in the USA, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Lebanon, the Arab Emirates and Syria.
In 2012 he was given the title of the Honorary Artist of the Republic of Armenia by the President of the country.
